Kia Sonet Facelift:

South Korean automaker Kia will announce the prices of the Sonet Facelift in the Indian market in January 2024. Prospective customers can book the new model online or through Kia’s authorized dealerships with a token amount of around ₹20,000. Expect a starting price of approximately ₹7.0 lakhs for the compact SUV.”

The new Sonet will feature ADAS Level 1 technology with features such as front collision warning, lane-keeping assist, high-beam assist, and more. It is equipped with various engine options, including a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine providing 83 PS power, a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine delivering 120 PS, and a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine with 116 PS power. The company aims to cater to different preferences with these three engine options.”

Maruti Suzuki will introduce the new iteration of the Swift hatchback in India in January 2024. It is built on the significantly enhanced HEARTECT platform. Drawing inspiration from models like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Baleno, the new model undergoes some design changes and receives a refreshed interior.

Along with petrol and hybrid petrol engines, the company promises a commitment to the hatchback segment. The heart of this model is a 1.2-liter DOHC engine, producing 82 bhp and 108 Nm torque. The mild-hybrid variant comes with a DC synchronous motor. It provides an additional 3.1 bhp and 60 Nm of extra torque. The transmission options include a five-speed manual and a new CVT automatic gearbox. An AMT option is also expected for the India-spec model.”

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the new-gen Dzire sedan alongside the new Swift in 2024. The model, expected to hit the market in the latter half of the year, will share design updates and interior enhancements with the new Swift. The hybrid technology featuring the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder NA petrol engine will be available with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Additionally, it will come with a CNG powertrain variant.”

Tata Motors is set to introduce the facelifted Altroz hatchback in the Indian market in 2024. The premium hatchback, sharing design updates and interior upgrades from the recently launched new Tata cars, will feature a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7.0-inch digital instrument console, ventilated front seats, and an electric sunroof (in the Altroz Racer Edition). The Racer Edition will be powered by a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 120 bhp, while the standard Altroz Facelift will be available with a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine with 88 bhp and a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine generating 110 bhp. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic.”
